Animal Haven
A letter from Stephanie to her fans about her charity work with Animal Haven.
Animal Haven is a no-kill shelter in New York City, and is a very important
charity to me. I adopted my dog, ChiChi, there a few years ago. Since
then, I've been a volunteer at the shelter, walking dogs and helping out at
fundraising events and adoptathons. Animal Haven is a wonderful place that
helps hundreds of homeless dogs and cats find good places to live.
If you live in the New York area, and are interested in bringing a little furry
friend into your home, I urge you to adopt from Animal Haven. If you live
outside the New York area, please consider adopting from your local animal
shelter. There are so many loving pets in need of good homes.
If you cannot adopt a pet, then I ask you to consider making a donation to Animal
Haven, which can help feed and get veterinary care for their dogs and cats.

January 13, 2006 :: Charity Teddy Bear Auction
Guiding Light and 1-800-Flowers came together to raise money for Save the Children by placing a Guiding Light collectible bear on 1-800-Flowers.com's Celebrity Teddy Bear Auction! All proceeds benefitted Save the Children. The winner received a soap opera diva themed teddy bear and the original sketch, which was signed by the cast of Guiding Light. Steph's signature can be found on the lower right-hand side of the sketch. The auction raised $216 for Save the Children.

December 16, 2005 :: 17th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive
Congratulations to Lecinda, who won a studio tour and lunch with Stephanie Gatschet (Tammy Winslow) and Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan Randall) for an incredible bid of over $9,000 in a charity auction. The money raised in the charity auction was donated to the 17th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive. Lecinda took her set tour in February 2006.

May 16, 2004 :: 2004 AIDS Walk New York
Congratulations to Team Guiding Light for raising nearly $5,000 at the 2004 AIDS Walk New York! Stephanie (center) was Team Leader for Guiding Light
at this year's AIDS Walk NY.
